it's a really well made product. fits perfect and instructions are easy. the threaded insert doesn't go all the way through the mount. the mount is ~1cm thick. not sure how deep the insert goes - probably 1/4" would work for attachments. that's what I will try, in case you are ordering both at the same time.
This allowed me to use a flexible, phone holder to keep the phone at line of site. Great product highly recommend easy to put on works great.
